Why is my domain on ServerHold?

Domains at times will go into a status called ServerHold. This status means DNS records will not resolve and hence the domain will not be active.

The most common reason for this is that you are a reseller that have ordered a domain first before adding a hosting package.

Sounds strange? well here is the reasoning.

ZACR registers domain for hosting providers. When they do the registration they check the NS records that was submitted with the domain for registration for and DNS records(Basically checks if there is a package for it).

If they do not find any dns records on the NS records submitted the domain goes into a server hold status.
