How to Add an Addon Domain in DirectAdmin
An addon domain lets you host a completely separate website on your existing hosting account — with its own domain name, website files and email accounts. Available on Starter plan and above.
Step-by-Step
Step 1 — Log into DirectAdmin.
Step 2 — Under Domain Settings, click Manage Domains or Domain Pointer depending on your DirectAdmin version.
Step 3 — Click Add Domain.
Step 4 — Enter the domain name you want to add (e.g. mysecondbusiness.com) and click Add.
DirectAdmin creates a separate folder (e.g. /domains/mysecondbusiness.com/public_html) and separate email management for the new domain.
Step 5 — If the domain is registered elsewhere, point its nameservers to Hostking. See: How to Point Your Domain to Hostking
Step 6 — Upload files or install WordPress for the new domain.
